Welp, 2016 is over. Not to say that a specific space of time can be a crapshow but hell if 2016 wasn't. That said, I think it showed more than ever the importance of books. You can find solace in them as well as an inspiration. As per usual my initial blog posts for the new year are to celebrate what I enjoyed in the previous year: Books and Dessert. This year Book Expo of America (BEA) was held on a timid weather week in New York City (and it was announced that Book Expo will continue to be held in NYC until 2015). There were many award-winning authors, publisher anniversaries celebrated, and much discussed in terms of what and how to bring books to consumers. BEA was held in conjunction with IDPF and BlogExpo at Jacob Javits Center in midtown Manhattan.
