I'm posting some of the hits and misses at Dessert Goals I experienced yesterday. I'm a person who loves substance over style. So I'd prefer a well executed sugar cookie to a razzle dazzle dessert with too many elements and not enough follow through. That said there were a handful of vendors at Dessert Goals who suffered from the latter and a few who succeeded. I didn't taste all 21 vendors for various reasons but I think I made a good dent in terms of what was there.

Ivy Bakery in SoHo, NYC will be closing it's doors on Sunday, March 9th, but until then there'll be several days of lots of available eats, music, and some festivities to send chef/owner Daniellan Louie out in style. Hope you'll come out for the events this coming weekend and get your dessert on.

May 4th the 2013 NYC Bake Sale was held at Brooklyn Flea again. A great time was had and many came out to support No Kid Hungry's mission. Thanks to all who contributed, purchased, spread the word, baked, donated, sponsored, volunteered and big THANKS to Ken and Lillian for organizing!
